Made to pair with either Menemani kebaya in the same colourway, which removes the question of what to wear underneath. Equally wearable with a plain top. Nilakandi is the most formal of the three colourways, and the one that carries best into evening.
The Menemani pattern
Menemani is Indonesian for accompanying. The pattern tells a story of love, destiny, and the details that make a meeting last forever, through five elements:

- Anggrek Serat — quiet strength and steady growth, reflecting Eyang Habibie's steadfast presence.
- Kantil — a cherished Javanese flower; Eyang Ainun's graceful presence never fades.

- Butterfly — one meeting, a lifetime together.
Fabric
65% lyocell, 35% cotton. The fluid, cool hand of lyocell, given quiet structure by cotton — which is what allows the pleats to fall cleanly.
Care
- Dry clean preferred.
- Hand wash only if washing at home — not machine wash.
- Avoid direct sunlight when drying.
- Iron at low temperature.
Storage: hang rather than fold, so the pleats keep their line.
Sizing: cut closer to the body than Western sizing. Measure a garment you already own and compare against the size chart rather than ordering your usual letter size. Between sizes, size up.
